Road priorities

1. Connect food, wood, stone and ore sources to the settlement.
2. Remove sharp grades, narrow turns and obstructions.
3. Create loading space beside major shops and stockpiles.
4. Establish a public maintenance arrangement.
5. Upgrade the routes with the highest daily freight first.

Vehicle choice

Match a vehicle to route, cargo, fuel and unloading access. A high-capacity vehicle is not automatically better when the road cannot support it or the destination has no space to turn and transfer cargo.
